Things I'm Loving This Week {#2}

Pin It!
Granola. My top two are Cascadian Farms Dark Chocolate Almond or Nature's Path Pumpkin Flax Granola.  The dark chocolate granola is super crunchy and not overly sweet. The chocolate is dark and mild and INCREDIBLE. Perfect for a chocolate fix. The pumpkin flax is hard to describe; it's softer, but not soggy. It's almost like it has puffed rice in it. It's also milder in sweetness and spice, but it's a perfect balance.  It tastes like fall and is addictive.  I've really enjoyed both of these!

Sketchers running shoes.  Mom decided I needed new running shoes, saying my other ones were worn through.  I protested, because I don't like spending a bunch of money on clothes and shoes. When these came, I was really hesitant to wear them because I didn't want to mess them up or get them dirty. However, the first time I ran in these, I felt like I was in slippers - with support. Who knew shoes could be so comfortable?

And these slides from Nike (except mine are blue and white.) These are also incredibly comfortable and are so soft and easy on my feet. I like how easy they are to slide on and off and work so well for volleyball.

This outfit from Pinterest!  I have everything but the boots and am working on finding some. I think it looks so cute!

Do Hard Things by Alex and Brett Harris and Wake Up Generation by Paige Omartian.  These have challenged my view of my teenage years every time I read them. They remind me of how our world's standards have shackled so many young people. We all have somuch  potential, but we sacrifice or to be "cool" or have "fun."  What I practice now and what I allow now will continue into my adult years. I want to practice the right things and wake up, being willing to do hard things.

This Taste of Home subscription! A gift from Anna; I was so excited to get this!  I can't wait for the first magazine!

Suave's Sleek Anti-Frizz Cream.  It makes my hair so silky and smooth. I rub it in after I shower in the evening and in the morning and my hair smells and feels nice and clean and smooth.  Mom bought it for Elizabeth but I use it a lot;)

FaceTime!  Used it for the first time (and we've had an iPad for years) to talk to Gracie and oh my goodness it was incredible to see her face.  She called (which was incredible in itself because she never has time to talk, with school and gymnastics) and was trying to describe homecoming and her room, etc. and was like, "it would be so much easier if I could see you!  Do you have your iPad?"  I answered yes, but no one in our family had ever used the FaceTime on it. However, it was a breeze to set up and suddenly I could see her facial expressions and pictures and room - it was like we were together (which only happens a couple times a year.)  It was wonderful!  I did have to sit in the bathroom, because that's where our Internet is strongest, but other than that, FaceTime has become my newest technogy love (that's so me, discovering a trend years after it was introduced)

And my favorite recipes from other food blogs!

Ultimate Triple Chocolate Bourbon Peanut Butter Buckeye Cake from Half Baked Harvest. Okay, look at how pretty this cake is. Its amazing. And putting buckeyes on a cake; Genius.

Peanut Butter Oreo Blondies from Spoonful of Flour.  These look amazing. Chock full of Oreos, peanut butter, and peanut butter chips. Yes, please, and thank you!  And I really like the photos in this post.

Leave me links of things or tell me about things you're loving in the comments!

  2. Aw, those trainers are gorgeous!! And new running shoes are definitely the best, specially if they're comfy and make you run faster. I'm in love with mine, but they're nowhere near as beautiful as yours... I always go for the ugliest shoes on the store (which are usually the most comfortable) hahaha.
    That sounds like an inspiring book to read... I like your views oon life in general. I'm going to see if I can get my hands on one of those!
    And those cake and brownies look out of this world amazing. Meghan and Tieghan are both such great cooks, I'm drooling over here now ;-)
    Have a nice week! xx
