Friday = Shopper
Which are you? I think I'm both, but not the sit-outside-all-day-Thanksgiving-so-I-can-get-the-best-deal sort of person. In fact, Dad and I haven't even left yet. I love shopping with both my parents, but Dad, well, he's special. He loves shopping with his kids. It's really convenient , considering he'd buy just about anything for me, but I cherish the time I get to spend as well. One on one time with my parents is pretty rare, so I jump at opportunities like this. (I guess there is the ulterior motive of new boots as well. . .)
Our Thanksgiving was pretty traditional - food and football! We had the turkey and the stuffing and the mashed potatoes and yes, the lakehouse TV was turned to NFL. We watched Detroit play the Texans yesterday. That one play, where the guy was down, but got the touchdown? I would've been mad, but I was rooting for their team. As my mom put it, "she is arbitrary, but fiercely loyal." If it isn't KU, I generally just pick, but I loudly and loyally cheer whoever I chose.

Anyway, it was a good Thanksgiving. We always go to my grandparent's lakehouse and this year, the lake was down enough that there was a "beach" we could walk on. The weather was really nice, too, not like the 30 degree weather now! The lakehouse is where we celebrate Christmas and the Fourth of July as well. I will always remember holidays there.

And since we were taking Christmas pictures, I asked Mom if we could try individuals one more time.
I have so much to be thankful for. God has blessed me with a loving family and His only son as well. Happy Thanksgiving!
